RT-PCR
Reverse
Transcription PCR (RT-PCR) couples reverse transcription (RT) of RNA with
amplification of the resulting cDNA by PCR. RT-PCR is a rapid and
sensitive method for analyzing gene expression, for determining the
presence or absence of transcripts and for producing cDNA for cloning.

Direct PCR
Finnzymes’ novel approach, Direct PCR, saves you time and
cost by allowing amplification of DNA directly from the source material. Direct
PCR is based on Thermo
Scientific Phusion® High-Fidelity DNA Polymerases and Thermo
Scientific Phire® Hot Start II DNA Polymerase. These unique
fusion enzymes have been engineered to incorporate a double-stranded DNA
binding domain that gives them extraordinary properties. Phusion and
Phire DNA Polymerases are exceptionally tolerant of many PCR inhibitors
present in various sample material. This allows robust amplification in
conditions where conventional DNA polymerases, like Taq or Pfu,
are completely inhibited
